Thursday
We got up early and drove to the south side of the coast to “Captain Andy’s.” We went on a catamaran boat ride along the “Na Pali Coast.” It was so beautiful. It was to choppy to snorkel out further along the coast so we stopped about 20 minutes out and snorkeled along the shore line it was fun. We continued along the “Na Pali Coast” it was absolutely beautiful. The movies “King-Kong” and “Six days Seven nights” with Harrison Ford and other movies were filmed here. The captain pointed out the different spots where scenes were shot, it was cool! We saw a few turtles and a school of “Spinner Dolphins”. They swim along the boat and put their tail a certain way and the thrust of the boat pushes them forward. It was so cool to watch they stayed with us for quite awhile! They were talking to us too it was really cute; kinda like they were putting on a show for us. They are super fast. The captain said “One time we were going about 20 knots and they were still keeping up with us. On the way back the crew put up the sails while we ate lunch on the boat. We then headed back. It was choppy on the way back and we hit a lot of white caps and got soaked it was awesome! We shopped in a few shops looking for a hat. I lost my Hawaiian hat onboard. I was bummed I liked that hat. Steph got it in Hawaii now it’s forever home somewhere along the “Na Pali Coast.” We got back to the hotel showered and did laundry. We went to “Garden Isle Bar-B-Que” for dinner. We came back and sat in the outside lobby by the pool.
